I think Vegas may be Neil's version of Resting on His Laurels...

I see it as a happy medium for Neil (even as much as I despise the very idea of the current family friendly, sanitized, Disney-esque Vegas!); he can still perform to adoring fans on a regular basis, without the drudgery and exhaustion of touring. Neil has given and given and given to his fans for over 4 decades (not to mention most of the band as well!)....he deserves the luxury of slowing down. We should be thankful he's not retiring completely. Neil may very well be the 1st reason I've ever had to visit Las Vegas!
Side note-I hadn't seen the Christmas Party video..all I can say is Neil is just about the most generous star out there and, a total class act!
