  1. Brooklyn Roads

We believe it was on the Dick Cavett Show in 1970, but not 100%.  We saw him doing the song, it’s been a long time.   He was going to do Cracklin’ Rosie but because of arrangement wasn’t received in time for the broadcast.  Many of the pictures from that performance is on the Neil Diamond Songbook that has many of his Bang songs including rare ones like, Raisin’ Cane, A Taste of Roses, I Got Love for You, etc.

    Does anybody else remember?

    1. THE SONGBOOK

It’s just the sheet music inside, the lyrics, musical notes, etc. It’s not the audio of the songs, even though Neil Diamond fans would like to have the audio of the songs that weren’t released in 1965-1967.

  2. Glen Cambell maybe too

Read somewhere that he sang Brooklyn Roads in the episode with Peggy Lee.

Another interesting question is originally did he lip sync or sing it Live?

    1. I wonder if Neil sang it Live originally

The video clip is from some European video jukebox program of hits from 1968.

But most likely,Neil sang it on a late 60’s US talk/variety show where lip syncing was already considered pase by then.
